We are happy to announce that POSA has started the application process by GAISF (Global Association of International Sports Federations), an international sport organisation with 95 full members (international sports federations governing specific sports worldwide) and 20 associate members (organisations which conduct activities closely related to the international sports federations).

Dear President Lacagnina,
As requested, we are writing you to confirm you that the Pole Sports & Arts World Federation (POSA)
has started the GAISF Membership Application process. POSA application is on-going.
POSA has paid the GAISF Membership Application Fee in accordance with art 7.A.1.3 of the GAISF Statutes
and has also submitted the application and a request to be considered for GAISF Observer Status. This request
is under examination.
The process and criteria to become GAISF Members are described in the GAISF Statutes (chapter II). The
criteria which need to be fulfilled by the Applicant are listed in art 7.B of the GAISF Statutes.
This confirmation does not confer any rights from GAISF, including any legitimacy over Pole Sport, to your
Organization nor does it guarantee to the POSA a positive outcome of the procedure to obtain the Observer
Status and/or become a GAISF member.

What is GAISF?

GAISF is the Global Association of International Sports Federations, an umbrella body composed of autonomous and independent International Sports Federations and other international sport and event related organisations.

Founded in 1967, GAISF is a key pillar of the wider sports movement and acts as the voice for over 100 Members, Associate Members and observers, which include both Olympic and non-Olympic sports organisations.

The mission of the GAISF is to UNITE and SUPPORT its members in the co-ordination and protection of their common aims and interests, while conserving and respecting their autonomy. The GAISF members benefit from various services which support an ethical and socially responsible sports movement that adheres to principles of good governance and sustainability. The GAISF encourages and facilitates knowledge sharing among members and provides expertise in relevant areas such as anti-doping, social responsibility, integrity, digital media.

By establishing various multi-sports games that group together similar sports, the GAISF aim to promote its members and increase their visibility. As an organisation, the GAISF identifies with the key values of neutrality, transparency and accountability while promoting sport’s ability to contribute to positive change in communities.
